regarding titus andronicus: a civil war concept album? brilliant. of course there is more to it, lot's of jersey references and colonial breakdowns but this band actually mixes elementary with energy intelligently. they still rely on hooks like 'if i ride in on a donkey let me go out on a gurney' but it's believable. this is their second album and if you've heard the first you've more right to post than i, i still need to read titus andronicus, but i'll probably just switch to a short story half way through. indie's back, at least for an album.

Thanks for the kind tribute to Kramer ("Kramity"), Addie ("the Add-Woman"), and to Rango. The first was a good dog, the next was a crazy dorg, and the last was the greatest engineering feat Henry Ford ever pulled off. We'll miss them all...esp. Addie. She had not lived out her years.
Those really were very, very happy days, trundling all over those county roads with black lab and black truck. And I wasn't that bad of a gear-grinder.
Now a metallic black 2007 Dodge Dakota quad-cab has joined us at the Chez Schey, and thank Graham Greene/Kicking Bird for his name: Tatonka.
